Founded in 1986, the Museum of Cycladic Art is dedicated to the study and promotion of the fascinating ancient Aegean and Cypriot cultures, naturally emphasizing on Cycladic Art of the 3rd millennium BC. Over the years, the museum’s collection has grown significantly with new acquisitions. Today, the museum hosts the following three main collections: Cycladic Culture, Ancient Greek Art, and Cypriot Culture. The exhibitions are housed in two different buildings which are joined by a glass-roofed corridor.
This is a small, tastefully put together museum in the heart of Athens. The exhibitions are skillfully arranged by period while they are accompanied by informative descriptions and videos, aiming to take visitors on a journey through time. Overall the MCA is an experience not to be missed!
